Size & Fit Advice

Get fitted if possible. Pointe sizing is brand-specific; a pro fitting is the fastest route to the right length, width, and shank.

What “right” feels like:
- Standing flat, toes are straight with light contact at the box, no crunching or curling.
- On pointe, your weight spreads evenly across the wide platform without sinking; the heel stays snug (Reveal’s slightly narrow heel helps).
- Wings support the sides of the big and little toes; no sharp pressure on the nail beds.

Width & box shape: The wide platform + slightly tapered box suits toes that taper moderately. If you see side bulging, go wider; if you feel pinching, try the next width or a different pad/spacer setup.
Shank: FS – balanced support and articulation (most versatile).
Pads & spacers: Start minimal; add just enough to protect nails and align the big toe. Too much padding can cause sinking.

Upper: Classic satin with pleat-less construction for a sleek look and quieter feel.
Platform: Satin Tip (smooth, stage sheen)
Lining & box: Textile lining; paste/reinforced layers form the box and wings for stability.
Shank: Flexible profile (FS) with pre-arched contour for easier roll-through.
Outsole: Updated, flatter profile with elevated traction for secure landings.

Care information

Break-in, not break-down: Warm the shoe with gentle roll-throughs and demi-plies; avoid crushing the box or sharply bending the shank.
Dry time matters: After class, air-dry 24–48 hours outside your bag; rotate pairs to extend life.
Keep the shape: Use mesh/cedar shapers.
Satin TLC: Spot-clean with a barely damp cloth or makeup sponge and mild soap; don’t soak.
Extra support: If approved by your teacher, reinforce box/wings with thin layers of pointe shoe hardener and allow to fully cure.

Some of our dance shoes come in European or American sizes which we convert into English sizing. The size you ordered may not match the size on the box, but it is the correct converted size. Please try on both shoes to check the fit.
