Size & Fit Advice

A900 is available in Small and Medium. Choose the size according to the width and volume of the forefoot, the length of the toes and the internal shape of the pointe shoe, not from everyday shoe size alone.

The pouch should cover the toes and metatarsal area smoothly without folding, bunching or extending unnecessarily high around the foot. The seams should lie flat, and the toes should remain correctly positioned inside the pointe shoe box.

Toe pads occupy space and form part of the overall pointe shoe fit. Always wear them during a professional fitting and have the fit reassessed if changing to a different style or thickness of padding.

Care information

Hand wash in cold water using a small amount of mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow both pads to air dry completely before placing them back in a pointe shoe or storage pouch.

Do not tumble dry, bleach or place near a radiator or other direct heat source. Avoid leaving damp toe pads inside pointe shoes, as both the pads and shoes need air between sessions.

Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

The BLOCH A900 Pointe Shoe Toe Pads place a thin layer of gel cushioning between the foot and the inside of the pointe shoe. Their lightweight fabric construction protects the toes, ball of the foot and metatarsal area while allowing the shoe to retain a close, familiar feel.

Thin polymer gel layers sit within the upper and lower sections of the fabric pouch, cushioning both the toes and the area beneath the ball of the foot. This creates more complete coverage than a toe-only design while remaining relatively streamlined inside the pointe shoe.

The slight U-shaped opening follows the front of the foot without extending unnecessarily high. Soft, flat seams help the pouch sit smoothly against the skin, reducing the bulky edges that can become noticeable inside a closely fitted pointe shoe.

A900 is available in Small and Medium and comes in a neutral Beige shade, called Light Sand by BLOCH. The pads are washable and reusable, making them a practical choice for dancers completing pointe work regularly.
