How to Measure for Mirella Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Girth
Key MeasurementUsing a flexible tape measure, start at the centre of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder, creating one complete loop.

Bust / Chest
Measure around the fullest part of the bust or chest, keeping the tape level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in the core Mirella body-measurement table, but it can help when considering overall proportions and torso length.

Ladies' sizing runs from Petite to X-Large, while children's garments use age-based Child Petite through larger child sizes. Available in Dusty Grey, this women's dance leotard pairs a familiar classical shape with flowers tracing the waist. It is a lovely choice for ballet class and rehearsal when you want a little detail in your everyday studio wardrobe.
Mirella Adagio Cap Sleeve Leotard – Design & Performance
A curved seam beneath the bust separates the simple upper bodice from the embroidered waist. Flowers and leafy stems sit along each side, leaving the centre front clear and drawing the eye through the torso. The stitching matches the body colour, adding texture and a gentle sheen as the fabric catches the light.
The 86% nylon and 14% elastane main fabric combines a smooth finish with stretch for movement. Short sleeves follow the tops of the arms, while the scoop neckline leaves the collarbones visible. At the back, a continuous upper panel frames the large opening, with a small Mirella logo plaque finishing the lower edge.

The open back is what gives this Adagio its distinctive studio feel. The opening extends from between the shoulder blades towards the waist, allowing air to reach much of the back as class builds. It is a particularly appealing detail if you enjoy a little sleeve coverage alongside an open feel through the torso.
The fabric across the upper back connects the cap sleeves and creates a clear frame around the shoulders. Through port de bras, that frame draws attention to the shoulder line, while the deep opening reveals the back beneath it. We like this balance for rehearsal: a composed front view, with a more expressive shape as you turn.
