Minerva BC has a close, streamlined Italian performance fit. Use the DellaLo size chart and pay particular attention to girth, particularly for dancers with a longer torso.

The two colourways have slightly different stretch characteristics. Black mesh is the more flexible option, while the floral lace used in Silk White feels firmer across the shoulders and sleeves.

If you are between sizes, have broader shoulders or intend to purchase both colourways, select your size with the firmer Silk White lace construction in mind. The boat neckline should sit smoothly across the collarbones without pulling towards the shoulders.

Care information

Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild detergent. Do not soak for extended periods, bleach, tumble dry or iron.

Reshape carefully and dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight. Handle the lace and mesh gently and avoid contact with jewellery, rough surfaces or hook-and-loop fastenings.

Washing the Black and Silk White colourways separately is recommended.

How to Measure for a DellaLo Milano Leotard

Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Minerva’s wide boat neckline runs cleanly from shoulder to shoulder, opening the collarbones while preserving more upper-body coverage than a camisole. Short fitted sleeves extend the line across the shoulders and give the design its poised, balanced proportions.

A softly curved seam separates the sheer upper yoke from the smooth performance body. This subtle shaping creates definition through the bust without padding, corsetry or complicated panelling, allowing the dancer’s natural line to remain clear.

From behind, the neckline opens into a deep rounded U-back that reveals the shoulder blades and lengthens the upper body. The lace or mesh continues around the shoulders, connecting the front and back in one uninterrupted frame.

Silk White uses intricate floral lace to create a delicate, almost vintage character. Black replaces that patterned surface with fine sheer mesh, transforming exactly the same silhouette into something cleaner, sharper and more contemporary.
